Now for something new…

And its NOT the Casper slide, part 2… (please tell me someone else go that reference….)

Over 10 years ago, I had to opportunity to buy a yoga studio. Full Circle Yoga in Vienna. Some of you may remember an ambitious and hard-working Allie at 25 years old trying to make it as a new mom and a baby business owner.. push came to shove and it was not in the cards for owning that studio to be a life-long journey for me, so Cheryl took it over and it has THRIVED. I have practiced there off and on for the last decade, traveled to Wanderlust with them and sponsored Yoga at the Point and just generally been a big fan of the teachers and folks there. I spent some time away from the wellness industry, but ultimately came back to fulfill a life long goal of becoming a LMT and Yoga Instructor in the last 3 years. I have been through a lot of changes and ultimately met a crossroads where I could no longer exist in places in society that aren’t for me. Call it unmasking, or a mid-life crisis, but art, yoga and body work are my lifestyle now and I am loving it. Currently, I teach Sundays at 6:30pm at Strength Warehouse in Belpre.

One of the things I ultimately hoped to create when I was studying massage was a unique merging of bodywork and yoga that would make my massage treatments more accessible and regular for clients who may be unable to get a full-body as often as they need as well as empower clients to take control of their mobility for life. As a hypermobile human with chronic pain, yoga has been a journey that has taught me so much about how to live with the body I was given. My pain has only been alleviated by keeping my body stable and strong, as well as addressing the stressors and mental health struggles I have faced.

I know that there is no easy way out of long-term pain but with a toolbox and growing body awareness, I believe we can all move and live better for longer! We are not getting any younger and NOW is the time to take control before your quality of life starts to slack.

The first workshop for what I am calling “MassaGa” (Massage+Yoga) will be held at Strength Warehouse next Saturday May 25th at 2pm and last 90 minutes (ish) but may go a little longer depending on what we get into during this first run of the workshop. Intro pricing is just $30 and is limited to 4 participants, so you will want to download the Strength Warehouse app and claim a spot ASAP!

I cannot wait to help you feel better!

xo,

Allie
